Classiq Unveils Groundbreaking Capabilities for Its Quantum Algorithm Design Platform

Users can now integrate proprietary functionality with extensive pre-written functional models to create sophisticated and optimized quantum circuits that could not be designed otherwise.

Classiq, which provides the leading software platform for Quantum Algorithm Design, today announced it released major new capabilities for its industry-leading quantum algorithm design platform. These new capabilities allow users to extend the platform capabilities with unique intellectual property (IP) and custom functional models, integrating those with a rich set of out-of-the-box functionality. Users can now complete quantum computing projects faster, as well as develop and package unique quantum IP for future use.

Amir Naveh, Classiq’s co-founder and head of algorithms, will introduce this unique approach and demonstrate how it applies to real-world problems during the Classiq webinar “A Revolutionary Approach to Building Quantum Circuits” starting at 11:30 a.m. EST on Nov. 23.

Instead of expressing quantum circuits using a series of gate-level or building block connections, algorithm designers that use the Classiq platform write functional models, similar to the very successful approach used today in designing sophisticated computer chips. The Classiq Quantum Algorithm Design platform then examines the enormous implementation space to find an outcome that fits resource considerations, designer-supplied constraints and the target hardware platform.

This new software release makes it easy for customers to add their own functionality on top of Classiq’s rich set of existing functional models while leveraging the circuit synthesis and optimization capabilities of the Classiq platform. This means that instead of writing programs from scratch, Classiq users can now leverage functional models and knowledge bases created by internal domain experts, external providers, or Classiq itself. Third parties can now also create add-on packages for the Classiq platform and use those to market their unique quantum expertise. This new functionality could also give rise to a public repository to enable functional model sharing. Both new and pre-existing functional models could offer multiple possible or continuous implementations, and the Classiq platform will select the best implementation in each case, taking into account and optimizing for system-level constraints.
