IEEE International Electron Devices Meeting (IEDM) Announces 2025 Call for Papers

The 71st annual IEEE International Electron Devices Meeting (IEDM) has issued a Call for Papers seeking the semiconductor industry’s best original work in all areas of microelectronics research and development, under the theme “100 Years of FETs: Shaping the Future of Device Innovations.”

The 71st annual IEEE International Electron Devices Meeting (IEDM) has issued a Call for Papers seeking the semiconductor industry’s best original work in all areas of microelectronics research and development, under the theme “100 Years of FETs: Shaping the Future of Device Innovations.”

The 2025 IEEE IEDM will take place December 6-10, 2025 at the Hilton San Francisco Union Square hotel, with on-demand access to recorded presentations after the event.

The paper submission deadline is Thursday, July 10, 2025 at 23:59 PDT. Authors are asked to submit four-page papers electronically in IEEE Xplore-compatible PDF format and the accepted papers will be published as-is in the proceedings. Late-news papers covering the most recent, most noteworthy developments also will be accepted, with a submission deadline of August 18, 2025.

Student Presentations & Best Student Paper Award
Papers written by students as the lead author based on their own work will be considered for the Best Student Paper Award. Papers must be identified as student papers at time of submission, and the presentation must be given by the student to be eligible. The award is chosen based on both paper and presentation, and winner is announced and presented after IEDM.
