Peakboard 2: Improved Network Integration Thanks to Migration to Windows 10 IoT Enterprise

Peakboard, the specialist for the visualization of processes and data in real time, is launching the next generation of its all-in-one solution of the same name. The migration of the system to Windows 10 IoT Enterprise further simplifies the integration into company-owned networks, as users can optionally integrate the Peakboard Box into the company domain. This allows users to manage a Peakboard Box just like any other computer in the network and to read and process files directly.

Communication with databases has also been further improved: Peakboard 2 communicates directly with databases such as Oracle or SQL servers. Thanks to using Open Database Connectivity, or ODBC, bridge-free access to almost all other databases is now possible.

“This new device generation makes it easier for many companies to start digitizing their processes,” says Patrick Theobald, founder and CTO of Peakboard. “But the development continues: In the future, additional data sources will be able to communicate with the Peakboard solution, so every manufacturer of software systems or machines can develop their own data source and make it available to the customer”. Plug-and-play solution for existing IT infrastructuresPeakboard is an all-in-one solution consisting of software and hardware for the aggregation of data from various sources. It consists of its own hardware and software for interface design, processing logic and interfaces to various data sources and pre-systems. Peakboard delivers the information on displays of any size and is mainly used in logistics, production, administration and sales. Each Peakboard accesses one or more data sources directly via WLAN or LAN, merges the data for visualization and transmits them via HDMI cable to the desired (large) screen. Possible data sources range from machines and sensors, Excel and cloud solutions to ERP systems such as SAP. A central server is not necessary, as each Peakboard processes the data locally and autonomously. The visualization is user-defined und in the customer’s corporate design.

Peakboard is a plug-and-play solution that can be easily integrated into existing IT infrastructures. As an innovative visualization technology for commercial and industrial applications, Peakboard is one of the most powerful Industry 4.0 solutions on the market.
